Free Linux CDs I gave instructions the other day about how to download and burn CDs of Linux to try it out. In that same post I offered to anyone that if they didn't want to sort out how to burn their own CDs, as a sworn Linux zealot, I would be happy to burn a Knoppix CD and an Ubuntu CD and send it to them. To get your set, just send me your mailing address and the CDs will be on their way to you. (Obviously I can't afford to send CDs to everyone in the world. At some point I may get tired of it and stop. But as long as this page is here, the offer is open.) As of today, March 2, 2007, I've had two takers. Here are the first Ubuntu disks being burned. I practice what I preach; that's a graphical CD burning application on a Knoppix desktop. One thing a great OS can't make any better is the download speed. The first two Ubuntu CDs ready to go out the door. Be fruitful and multiply!
