it's a small world after all

Friday 18 November 2005 at 12:10 am
I'm chilling here in Seattle, at the end of my yearly conference. The build-up to this conferenc tends to the epic, and the conference itself extremely busy, so the aftermath is a hugh sigh of relief; you feel like you can now get back to your real life. I'm very pleased to say that my new Sharp MM20 laptop was hugely useful. I'm increasingly pleased with it. The only residual problem at the moment is that if I have the screensaver on, it won't suspend when I close the lid. How very odd. I have mostly everything set up on it, except for pulling down e-mail. I want to be able to do work and personal e-mail on the same machine but in different accounts, and that will take a little figuring out. No news on the flying front. I'm kicking around the idea of going to a Sportair workshop in January, to learn metal bending and riveting (as applies to airplanes).
